This shop has been related to the art of the Llata (palm heart) since its beginnings, at the beginning of the 20th century. Owned by the Flaquer Melis family, dedicated to the distribution of palm heart work, it sold fabrics that were given to the craftswomen in exchange for the baskets that the family collected from their homes.
The Son Poca Palla shop is located in the center of the town of Capdepera and is a Majorcan handicraft shop, where someday you can still find a group of older ladies working on the town’s handicrafts, which is the “llata”, “senallas” are made made with heart of palm and other old accessories, and it is one of the few places in mallorca where you can get authentic handcrafted accessories.
