Born in California and raised in Mallorca, the painter Vera Edwards travelled the world and lived in multiple global locations before returning to Mallorca six years ago. Today, she lives in a small beach town on the southeastern coast, making oil paintings in a studio that was formerly her grandmother’s home. “I’ve been drawing and painting since I was little,” she tells Trobat. “But it wasn’t until I was around 17 that I decided I wanted to pursue it in my life.” Read her interview with Trobat below, AND SHOP HER EXCLUSIVE COLLECTION OF PIECES ON TROBAT.CO FROM 28 OCTOBER 2021..

My studio is in the countryside in the south east of Mallorca. I have been painting here for years now, but also living here since the pandemic. It’s a very special place to me, and very peaceful, a perfect place to paint looking over San Salvador right ahead. No distractions, a place to disconnect from the world and be creative.
Joan Miró, Jesus, Frida Kahlo, and Hilma af Klint.
